May 5, 2005Snorkeling
|
A couple days before Cabo, we started thinking about
canceling our Tropicat snorkeling excursion because it went to a bunch of
places we had already visited.
So we chatted with the tour desk people and decided to
find our own snorkeling tour on the pier. |
|
Bill and Roberta wanted to do the same thing, so we
decided to go on this adventure together.
We
would say this was the best day of the cruise, second only to the day we
actually went through the Panama Canal! |
|
We got a taxi ride to Chileno Bay. Our driver was
Ramon. He promised to return 2 hours later (and he did).
We snorkeled right off the beach! The surf was
really rough right at the water's edge, but once ya got in it was lovely. |
|
The next couple of pics just show some coral, but I swear
there were a lot of fish. They swam right up to us.
Keep going and you'll see proof. |
|
Coral, coral... where are the fishies? |
|
When we arrived, there was one person walking on the
beach, no one else is sight. We had a great time all by ourselves. |
|
Here are the fish!
Next time we have to bring some food for the fish.
Today was Roberta's birthday! We had a great
time hanging out with Roberta and Bill.
After snorkeling, we went to Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo
for lunch. |
|
I tried to get a picture of a star fish, but it was
too deep and didn't come out.
Thank God these
fishies were not shy. |
|
Here is the Tropicat, the boat we would have been on!
It arrived after we were finished snorkeling. Karen was still in the
shallows, searching for sea glass and being tossed around by waves. |
